Our Show and Breeding Cats
When selecting cats to use in our breeding program, we look for a diverse pedigree* and consider the health history (of ancestors), temperament, and type (looks). Our breeding cats are FIV/FELV negative, and screened (by age 2) for genetic diseases such as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). Genetic problems show up occasionally in all breeds of cats, including domestics. No breeder can promise you that your cat will be free of problems, but we try to minimize the risk.
